NoorNation is the Winner of the Water Resilience Challenge by UpLink.

On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, NoorNation was officially recognized on January 21st among the world’s leading water innovators, being named a winner of the Water Resilience Challenge under the 4th cohort of the Aquapreneurs Innovation Initiative. This global recognition honors NoorNation’s pioneering achievements in decentralized infrastructure, specifically its direct solar-powered water desalination and pumping capabilities in remote, off-grid regions delivered through its flagship solution, LifeBox™—further demonstrating how home-grown climate-tech innovation is tackling critical water security challenges on the world stage.

NoorNation is the WINNER of the Supernova Challenge in the AgriTech & Sustainability category at GITEX AFRICA 2026.

From being selected as semi-finalists to pitching in the final round, it has been an incredible journey. Standing on that stage representing Egyptian innovation and our decentralized solar solutions (LifeBox™ and NoorBox) was an honor, but coming home with the $10,000 grand prize is the cherry on top! We are proud to have attended this prestigious event as part of the GIZ / SAIS Investment Readiness Programme 2026. Joining the GIZ delegation and representing Egypt in Morocco has been a milestone for our team.

NoorNation proudly won “Agri Innovation of the Year” at the F&B Awards 2025!

The F&B Awards celebrate the innovators redefining Egypt’s food and agriculture ecosystem, and this recognition marks a milestone in our journey to empower farmers, boost food security, and drive sustainable growth through our innovations LifeBox™ and NoorBox™. This win belongs to everyone who believed in our mission, our amazing team, visionary partners, and every farmer and community we’ve worked with across #Egypt and the #MENA region. Together, we’re proving that innovation made in Egypt can power the world toward a cleaner, more resilient future.

A Major Growth Milestone: NoorNation Closes $1.05M Seed Round to Scale Decentralized Infrastructure and SIaaS!

We are thrilled to officially announce the successful closing of NoorNation’s $1.05M Seed funding round, backed by a powerful consortium of strategic and climate-tech investors: Linah Group, Catalyst Fund, and KBW Ventures (led by HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed). This capital injection marks an exciting new growth phase as we accelerate geographic expansion into new markets and scale the deployment of our clean-tech solutions. Crucially, it empowers the rapid rollout of our SIaaS (Solar Irrigation-as-a-Service) model, removing the heavy upfront CapEx barrier for smallholder farmers and providing flexible, Pay-As-You-Go solar irrigation to build lasting agricultural resilience without debt.

Standing Alongside Global Tech Giants: NoorNation Wins the CEATEC Global Innovation Award!

We take immense pride in seeing our engineered products & solutions gain top-tier international recognition. Winning the prestigious Global Innovation Award at CEATEC 2026 in Japan places NoorNation shoulder-to-shoulder with the world’s leading technology giants, including Mitsubishi Electric, Sharp, Hitachi, and AWS. This milestone reinforces that our decentralized clean energy and water infrastructure is not only solving critical off-grid challenges, but is setting globally celebrated benchmarks on the world stage.

From Collaboration to Investment: Celebrating the Partnership between NoorNation & Linah Group

At an official partnership signing ceremony, NoorNation and Linah Group celebrated a major milestone in their shared journey toward advancing sustainable agribusiness and climate resilience. The event reflected on Linah’s growth journey as an industry leader and traced the evolution of the two organizations’ collaboration, from initial field operations on Linah Farms to Linah officially joining NoorNation as a strategic investor. As part of this deepening alliance, NoorNation highlighted its operational growth metrics, latest clean-tech and engineering developments, and the successful closing of its Seed investment round. Building on this momentum, NoorNation formally announced SIaaS (Solar Irrigation-as-a-Service), its innovative Pay-As-You-Go model engineered to democratize solar pumping and water access without heavy upfront capital expenditures. To anchor the partnership, NoorNation and Linah Group confirmed the launch of a landmark projects that will deliver over 3 megawatts (MW) of clean renewable energy, setting a high benchmark for decentralized infrastructure in commercial agriculture.

Meeting: H.E. Amb. Ragui ElEtreby – Egyptian Ambassador to Japan

NoorNation’s leadership, represented by CEO Ragy Ramadan and Projects Development Team Leader Carole Fahim, recently met with His Excellency Ambassador Ragui ElEtreby and Dr. Mohamed A. Gawad Allam at the Egyptian Embassy in Japan to discuss strategic scaling and bilateral clean-tech partnerships. Showcasing our flagship LifeBox solution, which tackles critical energy, water, and cost challenges across off-grid sectors. We explored concrete avenues for economic diplomacy and entry into the Japanese investment ecosystem, and we are grateful for their exceptional guidance and support.

NoorNation Selected for UNESCO & Nestlé “Youth Impact: Because You Matter” Global Youth Grant Scheme

NoorNation has been selected to participate in the “Youth Impact: Because You Matter” Global Youth Grant Scheme, led by UNESCO and Nestlé, with its flagship project LifeBox™ – a solar-powered water desalination solution designed for off-grid communities. Under the leadership of Antoon Tarek, Head of Product Development at NoorNation, the project aims to expand access to clean energy and safe water for underserved communities, contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive future. NoorNation’s LifeBox Powers Off‑Grid Farming Across the Middle East and Africa

NoorNation is redefining how farming communities access energy and water with LifeBox, its flagship solar-powered system. Designed to serve off-grid farms, LifeBox provides reliable electricity, clean water, and smart monitoring — all in a single, easy-to-deploy unit. By combining solar panels, water pumping, desalination, and IoT-based monitoring, LifeBox allows farmers to overcome barriers like high diesel costs, unreliable electricity, and limited access to clean water. The system can generate up to 130 kWp of clean solar energy and produce up to 600 m³ of desalinated water, helping farms thrive even in remote locations. NoorNation also offers a flexible Solar Irrigation as a Service (SIaaS) model. Farmers can lease a LifeBox unit and pay based on their usage, making cutting-edge irrigation technology accessible without large upfront costs. Many farmers gain full ownership after 5–7 years, combining affordability with long-term value. Since its founding in 2019 by Ragy Ramadan and Mohamed Khaled, NoorNation has made significant environmental and economic impacts. The LifeBox program has helped farmers save hundreds of thousands of dollars in energy costs and reduced CO₂ emissions by thousands of tons, all while producing millions of liters of clean water. Currently active in Egypt and the UAE, NoorNation is planning to expand across Sub-Saharan Africa, scaling its impact on food security, water access, and sustainable energy. LifeBox is more than a technology — it’s a lifeline for off-grid farming communities, a sustainable solution that empowers farmers while protecting the planet.
