Key Responsibilities
Site & Project Execution
• Take ownership of site execution from mobilization and preparation through installation, commissioning, handover, and project close-out.
• Lead and oversee on-site installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and operational activities across NoorNation projects.
• Develop and manage site execution plans, work sequences, daily activities, and short-term schedules in line with project milestones.
• Ensure site activities are executed according to approved designs, drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Coordinate site resources, materials, equipment, deliveries, and execution priorities with relevant internal teams and external parties to minimize delays.
Technical Leadership
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Site Engineers, technicians, contractors, and subcontractors during project execution.
• Review drawings, layouts, BOQs/BOMs, schematics, and technical documentation and identify technical discrepancies, site constraints, or required adjustments.
• Lead technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for installation, commissioning, operational, and maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Factory, suppliers, and other relevant teams to resolve technical issues and adapt solutions based on actual site conditions when required.
Team & Contractor Supervision
• Lead and coordinate Site Engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and site workers during project execution.
• Monitor work quality, productivity, and progress and ensure activities are completed according to technical, quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job support to junior engineers and technicians.
• Escalate significant performance, quality, safety, or resource issues when necessary.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
• Coordinate site activities, inspections, approvals, access requirements, deliveries, and other project requirements with customers, contractors, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in technical and site meetings and communicate project progress, technical challenges, risks, and required actions.
• Support customer handover, technical demonstrations, and after-sales technical support when required.
• Maintain professional and effective communication with project stakeholders throughout execution.
Quality, HSE & Project Efficiency
• Ensure all site activities comply with approved engineering specifications, quality standards, project requirements, and HSE regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks, identify defects or risks, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure proper use of PPE, tools, equipment, and safe working procedures across site activities.
• Monitor resource utilization, material consumption, rework, and execution efficiency, and identify opportunities to reduce delays, waste, and unnecessary costs.
• Escalate cost-impacting technical or execution issues to the relevant management team.
Commissioning, Maintenance & Handover
• Lead system testing, commissioning, performance verification, and functional checks for completed installations.
• Coordinate commissioning and handover activities with Engineering, technicians, suppliers, and customers.
• Verify that completed systems meet required technical and performance specifications before handover.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities and support the resolution of technical issues within agreed timelines.
• Analyze recurring technical failures and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure commissioning, handover, maintenance, and technical records are properly documented.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Own and consolidate site progress reporting, providing management with clear visibility of project status, challenges, risks, and execution performance.
• Prepare regular reports covering progress, completed and upcoming activities, technical issues, delays, resource requirements, and corrective actions.
• Track open technical issues, site risks, punch-list items, and corrective actions through to closure.
• Identify recurring operational or technical issues and contribute to improving site execution, installation, commissioning, and maintenance practices.
• Travel across different governorates for project execution, inspections, commissioning, maintenance, and other site activities whenever required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in site engineering, renewable energy, solar PV, electrical/mechanical systems, or related project execution roles.
• Proven hands-on experience in solar PV installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Good understanding of solar PV systems, electrical systems, inverters, batteries, mounting structures, and related equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, layouts, schematics, BOQs/BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Good understanding of site execution, technical supervision, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Experience supervising technicians, contractors, or subcontractors and coordinating site activities.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple site activities and priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Good command of Microsoft Office tools and reporting systems.
• Strong commitment to HSE standards, quality, and safe work practices.
• Proactive, responsible, and team-oriented with a high level of ownership.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site across different governorates when required.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, PVsyst, PVSol, or related engineering/design software.
• Strong understanding of solar PV components, including modules, inverters, batteries, mounting structures, cabling, and protection systems.
• Experience with different solar applications including off-grid, hybrid, pumping, or commercial/industrial systems.
• Knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with relevant electrical and solar standards and codes.
• Experience working with factory operations, manufacturing, or technical assembly.
• Previous experience leading site teams or coordinating contractors and subcontractors.
• Good command of English.
• Valid driving license.
• Ability to stay at project locations when required.
• Strong HSE mindset.
